You know that feeling when all the sudden the house is quite. Which is kinda ok because Kathryn is sleeping and Lorin is sitting next to me while I'm showing her how to play a new game on her computer. But then it's not ok because Christian has gone un-accounted for. It's that feeling of frustration because you know he's doing something he's not suppose to or else he wouldn't be so quite about it. And it's the feeling of dread because you have to go confront him and maybe get really mad if he's coloring on the walls with permanent marker again. But it's a feeling of relief because I know at least he's not torturing Kaki or bathing her in toilet water again because at least she's in her bed.
You know that feeling because any mother of a two year old(especially a boy) has had that feeling, if not every day. So after it's been a while and it's still quite I had to go investigate. And of course Lorin had to come along because she has no greater joy than when she gets to see her brother get in big trouble.
But while I'm walking down the stairs to find out what that bugger is doing I start hearing something, like a radio, or no, it's the TV. And hey I recognize those voices it's the Chipmunks. So then I ask how in the world did he turn on a movie. It's so complicated to figure out what controller you play with first, but yep I'm sure it's the Chipmunks movie and I know I didn't leave it on. So this is what I find in the living room....

The poor little man was so tired. We had the worst night last night. When Christian gets sick he gets this cough that sounds like purgatory!! Every time he gets sick it goes strait to his chest. I know that he's going to have asthma, they wont diagnose him with it yet. But we have two inhalers and he's been on a liquid form of steroids 4 times since he's been born!! So since we've had the worst possible air quality it has irritated his allergies, which has gotten him coughing, which keeps him up at night, which keeps mommy up at night. So after a visit at the Dr's office today t0 get some antibiotics for his double ear infections and tonsillitis and another round of liquid steroids to keep his cough at bay, obviously long enough for him to put on a movie, get a snack and crash on the Ottoman!!
So you know that feeling when you see your little man sleeping on the Ottoman not doing all the things you were running through your head you thought he was doing. It's that feeling of love and relief!!

He is soooo cute. I can't believe how big he is getting, too!! Awe, that would be a relief. All your comments about 2-year-olds make me REALLY afraid of what the future has in store for me!!
AHHHHHH!!!! What sweet Relief!!
I was so afraid to scroll down to the pictures....I knew for sure it was going to be something BAD!
You should possibly stock whatever it is the doctor gave you today!
It looks like it works WONDERS!!
That is so cute...and what a relief that there was no coloring on the walls, or powder thrown all over the rooms. I feel bad for the little guy, that's when you know they are extremely tired and don't feel good. Hope he gets better after the doctor visit!!
Poor little guy. Nik has asthma and has really been struggling the last couple of weeks. I know that feeling. I love sitting by my children when they're sleeping. It's kind of a sweet moment.
Bless his little heart. I love those moments that don't happen very often.
What a cutie! Hope he feels better!
Not a good feeling when you know their up to something and have to go and find out. I am so glad he was passed out for you. What a better out come. Oh I love his snack bag. He is so cute.
