9 Years ago

Mike and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary on Dec 23. It's gone by so quick, I feel like we're still 19 years old sometimes. A lot has happened in the past 9 years and I can't believe we're still finding ourselves in UT. We got married in the Los Angeles temple and were lucky enough to be sealed by the Temple President who used to be my Stake President when I was little. He also sealed my mom, my sister and my brother. We were so happy that he was able to perform our sealing also. Even though it was the end of December, it was 76 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. We had a little reception with family and friends that night and were off to a honeymoon.

After a short couple months of marriage we decided why not pack up everything we own (which was just about nothing) and move to Utah. And we made the decision that this was going to be a temporary residence. 2 maybe 3 years, then back to Cali we were going. So after almost 9 years here, we still aren't sure if this is a temporary or permanent residence, but is sure has grown on us. We've had three beautiful children come into our lives while we've been here and Lorin has told us we are not aloud to move anywhere because she would miss her friends and school too much. Moving here has been a great opportunity for us, we were young when we got married so we've been able to grow and learn together.

I was lucky enough to find my best friend who I can share the rest of always with, he is a great compliment to my strengths and my weaknesses. And I learn so much from him.
