Why do they have to grow up

I've been going through the pics of Lorin when she was little to see how much she has changed and grown up. It's crazy how much she's changed in just six months. But I miss my baby being my little baby. It's gone sooo fast. They just get older and cuter and more independant. Which is a good thing but like I said, I miss my baby being my baby.....

Daddy's new toy

We were being good Americans and decided we would put our tax refund into our local commerce by buying ATV's. So we've been shopping around and researching what we want and how much we want to spend. And we found exactly what we wanted today. Its a cute little ATV, perfect for beginners, aka us. We also found a perfect little one for the kids. We should be getting it next week. We took it around the block a couple times and the kids loved it.

Christian of course had to pull his out and try and follow Daddy and Lorin down the street. He caught some air on the grass and was lovin it. The little one we got for him and Lorin is green camo color. Now all we need are helmets and a trailer and we're good to go.

My little sister is officially smarter than me

Laura graduated today from BYU. GOOD JOB AUNTIE LAURA. She was 8 months prego and still stinkin cute. The kids did pretty good during the ceremony. Lots of snacks and coloring books helped that out.

Much NEEDED girls night out

This week we had our girls night out. It was such a blast. Definitely something we need to do more regularly. First we all went to Chili's for dinner. They had a yummy gluten free menu, so yeah for them. Then we came back to our house for some good ole karaoke. It was so much fun. Michelle got it really going with Rump Shaker!! You would never know that she just had a baby the way she was shakin her rump!!

Allison and Kendi shamed us all cause they have beautiful voices.

We even got 9 month prego Megan to come.

We stayed up till 1 am, way past my bedtime, but it's good to do that from time to time. Time to start planning for next month :)

The cleansing of the room

So when we put Christian in a big boy bed we started putting a gate at his door. this way he could open the door but he couldn't come out. And then after he goes to bed we take it down. Well lately he has been particular about whats in his room before he goes to bed.

It changes every night, sometimes its books, sometimes it's toys, sometimes it's socks and sometimes its a combination of things. But one by one he will throw it over the gate and into the hall "dont want this book mama", "dont want this banky mama". and so on until the room has been purged of everything that he doesnt want.

Once it is then he will assume the possition and go to bed. And yes those are princess sheets on his bed. I dont know why we havent put the blue sheets or the green sheets on his bed but he doesn't seem to care.

Can you tell they're related. Ok I found one of Lorin. She was never a messy baby. No matter how hard we tried she was always pretty clean. And she had so much more hair than Christian and Kathryn.

Things that mom should be paying more attention too

Lorin is such a good big sister. She will help me feed Kaki while I'm frantically getting dinner ready. But it wasn't until she was most of the way done that I went to see how the progress was. Needless to say, the progress was all over Kaki's face and bib. It was so funny she was trying to eat the food off her bib.

Now I know why I'm doing 2 loads of laundry for Kaki a week.

Picnic at the park

A nice and sunny clear day, you think it'd be safe to go have a picnic at the park. Not in utah. We go from 80 degrees one day to 40 the next.

Trying to escape, what a funny little man!!

He got the preferential treatment because mom forgot his coat.

Lunch lasted as long as it took us to shove the food in our mouth and then we ran to the car, instead of playing at the park we went to the aquarium.

Not happy when it's cold.

I'm telling you these snuggle's are so worth the money.

Yes, thats christian saying "cheese"

Well that was fun, lets try it again when it really warms up.

two and counting

These two are always up to no good. Apart they are pretty bad but put them together and world watch out.

Say cheese bud

Elmo, it was all about Elmo this year. And no Elmo's head isnt pink. everyone knows it's red you just need to adjust the coloring on your monitor. wink wink. Ok so you try making red frosting, its freakin hard.

Being the expert gift opener that Lorin is, she had to take over, i mean assist.

Our neighbors son turned two on the same day christian did and he gave Christian this dinosaur that roars. So we put him to bed and for a good 20 mins we heard roar, roar.

Seattle

Our Trip to Seattle was the best. The kids had a blast with their cousins and we didnt do too much where we were completely exhausted but we did just enough that we saw a good amount. It was Mikes bday while we were there and I surprised him(yes it can be done) and took him to the Seattle Space Needle for dinner. So we rotated around getting the full 360 deg view of Seattle while enjoying no kids(thanks you so much for watching them Am)

Famous Pikes market. We had to promise to buy something to get them to throw a fish. The kids had the best time once they started throwing them. But we couldnt decide which fish we wanted so we decided to go to Costco instead and get King Crab Legs there. Same difference right?

Snoqualme Falls, it was a beautiful day and we were in the area so we decided to stop and take a look. Their web site said that it was comparable to Niagra Falls. Definatly a NO, but it still was cool.

Seattle Temple, they had this flower maze that the kids just ran through and around and in and out of for like 20 mins. It was cool the parents just sat in the middle and ever so often we would see a kid running in and then out.

The fairy ride to Seattle, Lorin was shocked when we drove on a boat with our car. She started freakin out. But then we got out of the car and went up to the top deck and she was so over it.

No Mikes not prego, but its a good way for the guy to see what it feels like. The snuggle has been the best thing we invested in when we had Lorin. It's been all over Europe with Lorin, and to Aruba with Christian and now to Seattle with Kaki.

Kaki and her cousin they were the best on the trips of course, nothing but smiles.

Aahhhh I love my big bro and big sis.

Christian was not a happy camper when he missed his naps.

Lorin got pooped on by a bird it was the end of the world.

This was the best we could do to get them to all hold still.

How did all the adults end up in their car....

And most of the kids ended up in our car!!
