Legoland

While we were in Cali, we wanted to take advantage of the great weather, so we decided to hit up Lego land. None of us have been there and we heard it's a great place to take the younger kids.(and the tickets there were on sale, unlike Disneyland!!) Kaki spent the day with my mom so we could ride the rides together. When we got there, there was this 25 foot Christmas tree all made out of Lego's. It was the coolest thing. And all throughout the park the characters and buildings were made from Lego's. The rides were cool because there was a place for the kids to play with logo's while the parents waited in line. Cool for the kids, not so cool for us.

Our first ride we hit up was the jungle safari. There were all types of animals you would find in the jungle all made out of Lego's. Lorin loved it because she got to drive the car, Christian loved it because of the monkeys!!

By the second ride Christian was out while we were waiting in the line. I guess we partied them to much Christmas weekend.

In the heart of Lego land are cities made completely from Lego's. Las Vegas, San Francisco, New York, LA. And there's a little fence that is about a foot high to keep the little kids from going and touching all the people and buildings. So we're walking along taking snap shots of the cool buildings I just finished taking one of the Chinese theatre and moved on to the Griffith Observatory and when I turned around Christian was gone. The stroller was right behind me but no buddy!! So I look around and I find him over the fence (come on a barrier that is a foot high is no deterrent for my son) and he was driving the limo that was parked in front of the Chinese theater down Hollywood Blvd. I wasn't about to stop and take of picture of him in the act, I was way to embarrassed. But I made Mike go back and take a picture of the damage. Notice the picture on the right with the limo in front of the building and then the picture on the left with the limo spun out half on and half off the road. Yea that's my son's handy work.

This is us taller than the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline behind us.

Where else can you be in New York and then five minutes later looking down Lombard St in San Fran?

The Golden Gate Bridge

Lorin and Christian bumming a ride from a local and his camel.

Forget the rides, Christian and Lorin's favorite part was playing in the cool play houses they had all over the park. There was no line, no big people, just free play!! It was nice for us too, because we would sit at the entrance and watch them run in and out and know that there were some workers inside watching all the kids. Free babysitters!!

Us, enjoying our break while the kids ran amuck!

And because we hadn't seen enough of Santa, we decided to take a ride on his sled with Rudolf and Lorin leading the way!!

All in all Lego land was the best. Christian just made the height limit so we could all go on all of the rides in the park. It's a perfect place to go for kids their ages and they really enjoyed it. Have to say we liked it better than Disneyland.

That looks like so much fun! I always wondered what Legoland was like - we'll have to go there next time we're in California! I'm so jealous you got to enjoy such nice weather! It's way too cold for me here!

Legoland looks awesome! We are going to have to hit that up next time we got to Cali. How fun!! It must be boys, and wanting to get their hands on just about anything they can. I would have walked away too pretending nothing had happened!!
