Mike turns 30 this week. I can't believe it because that means I turn 30 next year and it doesn't feel like we should be that old. Sometimes it feels like we're still 17 and 18, especially this weekend. I wanted to do something special for his birthday so I surprised him and took him to Vegas where his family met us. It was so much fun. My sister and her hubby watched our kids for us and their weekend wasn't boring either.
Mike was kind of suspicious when he saw the hotel charge about a month ago. I knew he'd see it but was hoping he would just think it was from our last trip. But he didn't he started asking questions about it and then he saw the charge from The Venetian and was really upset. So I told him to just leave it and it would get figured out.
It all worked out, he was surprised and we had so much fun. We went to this Mexican restaurant in The Palazzo and it was soooo good. I made a gluten free chocolate cake and we took it with us and the restaurant kept it for us till after our dinner then put candles on it and everyone sang and we had the yummiest chocolate cake. Then we went and saw The Blue man Group and it was so funny!! I would totally recommend it to anyone and everyone. We saw them when they came to SL about 4 years ago and it was so good then, but it was even better this time. Our seats were great, we were right behind the "pancho" section so we didn't have to worry about getting wet. We didn't get to bed till after 3am. I don't remember the last time we stayed up that late.
