Hunting for Pumpkins

While Grandpa was here we decided to take the kids to the the pumpkin patch to find their perfect pumpkins. And instead of cutting and gutting them, we chose the less messy way of just coloring on them. We like simplifying things, so next year we decided we're going to simplify even more and just buy the Mr Potato head push in features for the pumpkins.
The weather was perfect, nice and sunny, so it was really busy at the pumpkin patch. The kids loved it, even Kaki. They loved running through the pumpkins picking up, and inspecting all the pumpkins they could get their hands on. After about an hour of searching the WHOLE field, we all found exactly what we were looking for, so we loaded up our wheel barrel to take it to get weighed.
This year they had this cool scale you put the whole barrel on and they weigh your pumpkins and send you off to pay. Christian decided he wanted a turn to get weighed too, so he climbs on the scale and stands there and just stares at the lady who's weighing. So she told him how much he weighed and then gave him a receipt to give to the cashier. Then of course Lorin had to do the same thing. With receipts in hand they both walk over to the cashier, who laughs at them and gives them candy. Why couldn't we get candy with our receipt?

How fun! I think I'll copy you guys and just color on our pumpkins this year! I hate gutting them! :)

You guys looked great in your mobster costumes by the way! We wish we could have been there. We are planning on going to the ward Halloween party, it sounds like fun!
