Our, umm, soccer star?

Lorin had her first soccer game last night. They put her in goal for the first 15 mins of the game. Her team kept the ball on the other side of the field mostly so she was pretty bored. In the 15 mins, she only had to touch the ball three times to keep the ball out of the goal. So she practiced her cartwheels, hand stands, smiles, dance moves. Once she even ran over to where we were sitting on the sidelines for a drink. It ended up being a tie game, 0-0, we have a great offense so the ball was in their half most of the game. They just had a really good goalie for only being 5-7 years old. They have 6 games left and hopefully it stays warm!!

Way to go Lorin!! WooHoo!! Goalie is the scariest position for me. I remember when Kowhai played about 4 years ago. It was the same thing. She'd be skipping down the feild and we'd say, "Run Kowhai" and she'd smile and say, "I am!"

Ha ha at least she's practicing her dance moves while playing. Kill two birds with one stone. I love watching little kids play sports...it's the best!

That's so funny. It reminds me of Siera when she first started soccer. She was the same way. She was picking flowers and dancing, doing cart wheels. So funny! Good luck with it!
