"The GREATEST Show on Earth"

We decided to take the kids to the circus this year. We figure they're about the age that they will start enjoying it. So we set it up to go with some friends in Mikes military unit and had this great evening planned to spend as a family. Then a couple of weeks ago Mike starts planning the combined YM/YW activity(because the ym are in charge this month) which is on the same night as the circus. But, he figures "it's ok I'll get it going and then let my counselors take over." Ya it didn't happen. So we told Lorin she could take a friend and we went without Dad :(
It ended up to be so much fun. If you are still thinking about going, I would GO. The kids loved it. And if you go early, we went an hour early, you can go down to the floor and meet the performers and they do little shows. They brought out an elephant and some Llamas, and goats. We bought a program and took it around to the performers and they signed it for the kids. The show itself was fantastic too. Lorin was laughing hysterically at the clowns. She loved them.

I'm not to sure what Emma's looking at. I know what Christian's eyeing. There was the cutest clown that was kinda dressed like Pinocchio and Christian was at awe when we saw him. I took a picture of Christian with him, but it turned out real bad.

The kids had a little to much exposure of the clowns, but the end of the night they were dressing and acting like them. I guess that's normal for Christian.

These guys were so cool, there was a couple of them and they were cool to watch from far. But when you got close they were kinda scary. Couldn't speak a lick of English either.

This was Lorins favorite clown. She loved his hair and actually asked if I would let her have green hair. I told her maybe for Halloween. He was really nice and one of the few we could actually talk to.

It's not a circus without elephants. And they were Christians favorite part. He would point and say Elef'nt. And he laughed forever when they were rolling around. And the end when they were walking off the stage the littlest one was at the end and he started skipping, it was so cute.

And of course Lorins favorite part, the butterfly lady on the back of the elephant. That is now what she wants to be when she grows up.
The funniest part was all the people we ran into there, I saw a couple of old friends that I worked with at GE years and years ago. And our pediatrician was there. He came up to us to say Hi right before I was going to beat Christian for running off and almost getting lost. Lucky Christian. JK

This is where I wish I had normal kids. The second any type of animal or clown with green hair would appear my kids would be screaming and heading for the door. Bunch of chickens! Glad your NORMAL kids enjoyed the Circus. :-)
