Breaking Dawn- Does contain spoilers

So my copy of Breaking Dawn didnt come in the mail by friday, that's when they promised it would come. So they gave me a refund and I went to B&N and sure enough there was this huge stack of them just sitting right in the entrance of the store. So I got my book Friday night, and I just finished it tonight. It took me a little longer than I expected to read it and I have to say I was so disappointed when I finished it. Not because I was sad it was over, but because I was actually realived it was over. Belive it or not I actually even put the book down( I know, I can hear some of you gasping) to go play Xbox with mike. I could not do that with the other 3. They had me completely sucked in, I think my children got neglected a little the first time i read them.
I mean Holy Cow BD was so freakin long and I dont feel it accomplished that much. I mean yes, everything I wanted to happen, happened:
Bella became a Vamp and ended up being able to spend the rest of forever with Edward. They got married, shoot, they even got pregers and had a mixed breed child. But, what the crap is that?!!! What is a mixed breed? really, how do vamps reproduce? I mean if Edward cant even create tears because he has no fluids in him then well, what?! And then they get married, which I was really excited for, but that was in chapter 3, what the heck were the other 36 chapters for. That's all I needed. Oh the time it would have saved me if that would have been it. Well that and maybe a chapter or two on her change. And the WORST part, what the heck, it's just gross and disgusting for Jacob to imprint on a baby that's just one day old. I dont care how much Stephanie Meyer tries to explain how non-romantic it is. It's just sick and wrong, I mean for crying out loud, he gives her a promise bracelet for her first christmas. That's just sick and wrong. And wwwhhhyyyy Rosalee? She is so annoying. Cant she just go away? I dont want to keep reading about her.
Where's Alice? Shoot, where's Edward? And why do I have to read 10 chapters from Jacob's perspective? The wolves and vamps are suppose to be immortal enemies, why do they hang out all day? Where is the fight scene I was waiting for? I mean they have super powers for a reason. How gross is it that Edward had to chew through the babies womb for the baby to be delieverd. Do you see where I'm going with this? Did these things not annoy you either?
The things I did love tho, The wedding, Bella's new fast car, Bella's new found strength. I'm glad Jacob found someone to imprint with. And Kath, I know you were disappointed by Bella's power, but that was kinda cool that she was able to let Edward hear her thoughts now. I'm happy Bella was able to have a baby of her own. It was cool learning about all the different talents the other vamps had. And I am happy for Stephanie Meyers success. She seems like a really nice person, she was just trying to make everyone happy and so I dont think it stayed true to the story.
I cant say I'm that excited to read it again. Beside's the fact that it would be such a huge commitment because the book is so long, I just need to get over the annoyed feeling that I have right now before I could start reading even the preface again. I still would recommend books 1-3 anyday. Book 4 is completely at will.

Jill you make me laugh!! I totally disagree with ya!! I loved the book. Loved that I could read from Jacobs perspective, thought that was fun. Was confused by the blood drinking, and all, and at first was like what the heck with the imprinting, but then learned to love it. I thought Edward cut her open to get the baby out, and then he injected his venom, and then started to bite her to get the venom everywhere else! Ha ha ha...I think this book will for sure be the most controversial for everyone but I love happy endings!!! Loved that they got married!!! Ended my questions right at the beginning because I love Edward, but this book made me love Jacob too!! Ha ha ha glad to hear your opinions we will have to chat it up about this book!! :) Do you know of any other good books to read!? I need some good ones!

I have to say that I mostly agree with your opinion of the book. Might I also add that there were a few loose ends that she brought up in the first books that were never answered. Over all it was too long for a book that lacked substance.
Some of the chapter heading were funny!!

Amen! I totally agree with all of your comments. I loved that Bella was able to share her thoughts with Edward, that was romantic. I wish she would have changed the Jacob chapters to Edwards chapters, I would have loved to hear about Bella's pregnancy through the eyes of her or her husband, not her stalker. The book was way too focused on Jacob and Nessie and not Edward and Bella, which makes me think she was just preparing for a spin-off with them as the main characters (I wouldnt read that spin off!) I wouldnt recommend the book.

You are so funny. You already know I loved it... but fun to see other views. I still like ya.
I never understood the sex thing either though... hmm. And then I have to wonder about Bellas period. How was she around his family (Jasper mainly) and not have them go nuts?? Just those little things. But I did love the book. I read the first chapter of the book she's writting in Edwards perspective. That is going to be good.
