Discovery Kids Museum

Lorin has been off track for the past 2 weeks and has been in dire need to get out of the house. We signed her up to go the rec center with some of her friends a couple times this week and we decided to take the kids down town to the Children's Museum. FYI military members get a discount buy one get one free. Good thing cause that place is expensive. But the kids had so much fun and were able to run around and play with everything. It was a great day to go, kinda cloudy and cold.

They had the cutest little tubes that blew air through them like at the drive through of a bank. So you put these plastic balls in the tubes and watch them go up and curve and twist and turn and go back down a tube across the room. Kaki loved it.

Then there were other tubes you could put the plastic balls down and they would make different sounds. Christian thought, "I'll just put my hands down the tubes and make the sound over and over again with my hands" that would be my son, the inventive one.

Then there was this cute little house the perfect size for Kaki, she loved the food in the kitchen. This was right after the whole swine flu so I freaked out when I saw her putting the food in her mouth. But so far so good, no swine at our house.
Christian met his match, this little boy would follow him around and try and get in Christian's face. It was soo funny. So we had the talk with him about how it's not nice when people are taking the things we're playing with so we shouldn't do it to anyone else. And he didn't, it was good.
Anyone that knows Lorin knows she LOVES horses. She wouldn't get off princess sparkles(that's what she named the big plastic horsey thing) and when she did get off she would go back and get in line to get on again.

The kids loved the helicopter, because we hear and see them all the time they are obsessed with them. Lorin met a little friend and they flew everywhere, each taking turns driving the chopper. They went to Puerto Rico, and Canada, and Washington and of course Disneyland. Christian even had a ton of fun, we let them just play for about 25 mins thinking they would get bored of it. Nope they didn't. So we gave them another 5 and told them there was still more to see.

All in all it was a fun day. The kids were zonked that night and most of today. Now we know where to take them when they have to much energy.

Hey, next time your kids are in need of some short-friend-fun you need to give me a buzzzzz. My kids would love to play again.

I'm so glad you have discovered this Museum! I loved taking my children there. I always got a year's membership. After 2 1/2 visits, it was paid for! Since we went about once a month, it was a terrific deal!
