A little while ago we decide it had been a while since we've been down to So Cal to visit the g-parents. So Mike planned a working vacation for the whole fam to go on. It was the most fun and we got paid to do it. That is the BEST vacation ever!! We drove down last sunday and dropped Mike off in Ontario for him to get his rental car and take off west and we took off east to Gma's house. And of course what is the first thing that you do when you are in So Cal and grandma has a pool. Go swimming. We spent the first day in the pool and then every day after that in the pool. The original plan was to visit Disneyland and maybe Sea World, but the kids had so much fun in the pool, we nixed them both and just lounged around. Lorin outlasted Kaki in the pool and then Christian and then she outlasted Grandma and Grandpa , and when mom was done we had to pull Lorin out kicking and screaming. She has and always will by my water lover!! By the middle of the week she took off the floaties and was swiming all over.
We also planned it perfectly that we were able to see my little bro graduate from high school. AHH I remember when he was a little toehead like Christian causing mischief. More depressing is that I celebrate my 10 year reunion this same year. It feels like I was just wearing the same blue and gold and I was ditching school with friends for the beach just yesterday.
It ended up to be a great trip. One night we went and visited Mike at his hotel in Burbank, and took the kids to the Griffith Observatory and Hollywood Blvd. Lorin was confused about the different type of stars we saw at the Observatory and off of Hollywood. On the way home we drove through AZ to visit Mikes fam. It's been a while since we've been there too. Having babies does that to you sometimes. You end up out of touch with people because you're so busy chasing little one's around the house. But after Phoenix we went up through Sedona, which was a first for me, it was sooo pretty. The clay cliffs looked like you could just walk up to them and start molding them into something. Christian slept through most of it, he was awake just long enough to snap some pics.

We also went to Meteor Crater, if you have any interest to take you kids here definately do it before they turn 6. Because 5 and under are free once they turn 6 you're paying $8 for them. YIKES. It was so funny because we watched a 10 min video about how the crater was created and Lorin kept saying "for real? is that for real?" and then when we took her to see the crater after the video she was like "really, mom, this really happened." Like we were lying to her. So we explained all about the meteors again and she was like OK. Then when we were done and we went out to the car there was this big bird poo on our car and Lorin was like "look mom a meteor" she found it so hilarious that a bird poo'd on the window she wants to tell all her friends. She seriously laughed about it all the way home! (It's really a good thing we didnt spend tons of money on Disneyland or Sea World because all she'll probably remember is the bird poo on the car)
It just happens that one of my really good friends lives in Flagstaff, which is on the way home so we got to stop and see her. It was so much fun, she is actually the reason I met Mike, she was dating him and took me on a blind date with his brother. (long story, but super hilarious, Now)She has a little girl Lorins age and a little man Christians age. The girls took like they were two peas seperated from their pod. The boys, well lets say thats a work in progress. And she's prego, crossing our fingers for a girl, Kaki will have a bossom buddy too.

It's like we were 16 again, except we dont look it :(
