The traditional breakfast in bed. Only the best for our big 5 year old Mickey Mouse pancakes, cut up banana and yogurt, her fav. She got it extra special in our bed watching her favorite cartoons. And of course Kaki had to come and investigate the colorful things big sis was putting in her mouth.
For her birthday Lorin decided she wanted to do a full blown friend bday party, so months in advance preperations were put in order for the best chef party of the year. She has been completely obsessed with The Food Network lately. She prefers to watch it to cartoons, thats not me complaning. For a while she would even insist on doing all the dishes and then wiping down the table and all the counters. We took full advantage of that as long as possible. But she wanted a blue ariel cake with purple flowers.
Lorin and a couple of her friends in the neighborhood customizing their own aprons. The plan was for them to wear the aprons for the other cooking activities but we opened the fabric "markers" to find out they were puffy paints not "markers" so they had to dry outside while the party continued. Its all good, Lorin loves to wear her apron now when she helps in the kitchen.
After the aprons they all were promoted with chef hats and rolling pins where they proceeded to make their own personal pizza with all the toppings you could imagine(not really just the standard pepperoni, olives, cheese, ham and pineapple).

While our pizzas were cooking in our top of the line pizza kennel Lorin had at her presents. She got way to many, finding a place for them all was a pain, but she found the prefect place under her bed. Dont ask, I have to pick my battles with her.
